It’s been nearly two years since I painted, since I created art. Well, ‘fine’ art, not just redoing furniture or nesting, which is an art in itself.
The last time I painted, it was the sea. For weeks I only painted the ocean, waves, the deep. A dozen depictions of clouds and water and sky. No land in sight. That was just a few months before I moved 250 miles away from Houston. Before one of the last art markets I did before moving, before the RV and this land I’m on now, before the hopes of 2020 being an awesome year… and then it slowly unfolded to be just the, in the most peculiar way, as COVID-19 and a world-wide pandemic.
2 years ago I painted the sea.
The part of Earth that isn’t really earth, but her contrast.
I rendered beautiful, terrifying, deep blue transformation.
It’s nearing time to paint again
to see what will happen this time
